Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) investment manager Deepbridge Capital has now deployed over £100m of capital through the Deepbridge Technology Growth EIS fund.
The Deepbridge Technology Growth EIS was launched in 2013 as one of the first growth-focused technology EIS funds.
It provided private investors with access to a portfolio of start-up companies in various IP-rich sectors. These included energy and resource innovation, hardware technologies, and information technology-based developments.
With over 30% of the fund raised in the past two years, fund capital has been provided UK-wide to 38 companies to date. The recipient companies are based in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
EIS Deepbridge Technology Growth raises capital from private investors, with approximately 90% of funds raised through financial advisors. It typically fully deploys investors’ capital within a month of receiving subscription, which according to research platform MICAP is among the fastest in the EIS market.
Founded in 2010, Chester-based Deepbridge specializes in providing venture capital to early-stage technology, life sciences and renewable energy companies, currently manages over £210m in funds .
In addition to its EIS funds, Deepbridge also operates the Deepbridge Estate Planning Service, which uses renewable energy assets eligible for business assistance to reduce inheritance tax.
